medication 投薬

投薬　medication  薬　medicine （投 means throw, but 投薬 doesn't means throw medicine） 

投薬 is prescribing a medicine.

I wondered there were any its opposite word(in Japanese, 服薬, taking a medicine), but I only found "ingestion" and it can be used for other objects even though "medication" can be used for medicine.
