Uwabaki / うわばき /上履き

Uwabaki / うわばき /上履き

Uwabaki is the name for the slippers worn inside. This word is most commonly used for students in Japanese schools. In most schools each student has a locker to put their outdoor shoes in, and to but the uwabaki on. Sometimes the uwabaki have a different colour strap or sole to indicate which class the student is in.
